The Kinect Star Wars edition is not a dream. Apparently some one in Redmond is a fan of the force. A fan in a position high enough to influence Microsoft to release a limited edition Microsoft Xbox 360 based on R2-D2.

Personally, we dont see a big difference between the standard console and the limited edition one. We have seen better designs or mods for the Xbox but presumably Microsoft was playing it safe. The only changes that you may notice are the color scheme which in a R2-D2 theme ( the console shall have a white-blue paint job. Also present in the box is the Microsoft Kinect- a must buy accessory for anyone intending or purchasing an Xbox 360.

Microsoft has not yet released details on how much the R2-D2 edition shall cost nor have they mentioned the availability of the device. However, given that the Test Freaks have given an amazing 9.2 out of 10 score for the Kinect and a 10 / 10 for the value for money when it comes to the Microsoft Kinect. So if you do know anyone who is a big Star Wars fan, then you need look no further for the perfect gift.
